Similar to your car, your dog, and you – your house also needs a refreshing bath. But ironically, we rarely think about giving our home a good wash.

When is a House Washed?
Anytime a house is painted, one of the big preparation steps is to wash the home – to clean off all the dirt and other contaminants. So that the shiny new coat of paint will adhere. Also, an important maintenance step is to get your house washed every few years to keep the paint coating free of damaging contaminants.
With this being such an important operational process, we put together a quick rundown of our Rogall + Co. signature home wash process.
Our Process
Prior to painting or as part of a home maintenance cycle, we “soft” wash your home – meaning we won’t blast off any paint or damage the wood. The first step is to deweb your home with a large duster. Next, using a soft tip that delivers 500 psi of water pressure, we wash your home gently.
In addition, we wash your home “at elevation,” for example, if you have a two story house, we will be up on a ladder washing the second story, rather than spraying from a lower elevation. This procedure ensures a comprehensive cleaning. The goal is to remove all dirt, mold/mildew, salt, and surface contaminants.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the pressure wash going to damage my paint?
Quite the opposite! Since we do a soft wash instead of a standard pressure washing, we are only looking to remove surface dirt and contaminants. By using the soft tip, the water is dispersed and does not chip paint or indent wood.
Are the chemicals going to kill my plants?
No, we use biodegradable and non-toxic cleaners. Additionally, all hardscapes and plants will be protected by rinsing them with water before, during, and after the cleaning process to protect their leaves or foliage from chemical damage.
How long can I wait between the home wash & the paint job?
Up to 5 months. Typically the sooner the better, however, a home wash should suffice for up to 5 months until paint needs to be applied.
Will this service leave hard water stains on my windows?
No, we wash your windows as part of our soft wash process. Furthermore we wipe them down to avoid water marks and streaks.
How often should I wash my home?
Once to twice per year. For those homes that are very close to the ocean, or experience a lot of fog, it is better to do it once per year. Any home in proximity to the ocean, will experience constant moisture, and salt deposits. These elements will degrade your paint if not removed.
